Shawn's friend, Casey Earl (who was also the driver of the semi) and his wife Kristen came to visit Shawn and Kelsey tonight. They were able to visit for almost an hour. Kelsey said it was "amazing" and left her speechless. It was so good for both of them to see each other and have a chance to talk. According to Kelsey, it was one of the coolest things she has ever experienced.
To Casey- Shawn and Kelsey want to thank you so much. Again. . .thanks for Tuesday. And for coming to visit. It was so good.

ReplyDeleteKelsey I know how much Shawn means to you and I am so glad you can still have him around. You are a great friend and I wish you two a long full life together. (Hopefully with children)
ReplyDeleteI was just in the left lane preparing to pass the semi when the accident happened. I was probably 50 feet away from where the van stopped. I called 911 on my way over to the van. I thought for sure someone would be dead. There was a nurse that ran up and helped support his neck. We kept talking to him trying to keep him still and re assuring him. He is so strong. There was an older man that gave him a blessing. True Miracle! He was so brave even though it took so long for them to get him out. Even the emergency personnel were swearing because the wanted to get him out quickly, but the van was crushing him. It was obviously not his time to go. The Lord was watching out for him that day. He is one strong man. Stephanie Webber, Rigby Idaho
ReplyDeleteShawn,
ReplyDeleteWe just want you and Kelsey to know we are thinking of you, and we are so glad that you are alive. Things like this make you realize how important life is and how fast it can be taken away. We are so glad that you have this blog because we have been wondering how you are doing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to seeing your progress! Johnnie & Trina Erickson
Tad, Jared & Matt were glad they got to visit with you last night. I had a meeting, so I wasn't able to come with them, but just wanted you to know how much you both mean to our family and that our thoughts and prayers are with you! Leslie M.
ReplyDeleteCarolee and I were at the Temple last night. Both of your names are on the prayer role.... It sounds like things are continually progressing. Know that we are pulling for you..... Its fun to hear Shawns sense of humor about the whole ordeal. That will make a huge differnce.
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you! Shawn, we hope you recover quickly.

It's so good to see that things are going so well. You're in our hearts and prayers. Hang in there and hang on to each other. We all know how precious our loved ones are, but with things like this, it makes you realize how amazing that love is... so lets all hold on a little tighter, hug a little longer, and say 'I Love You' again and again. Life and Time are so PRECIOUS. Take care, You're both amazing!!! we love ya!

This is "cousin Cody" dont know if I am the country mouse or the city mouse. This is a pretty bad way to get attention. Sure glad to hear that everything is ok. Know that our prayers and thoughts are with you. Most of all when I herd that you were in a head on I was terribly worried about your nice Harley. Glad to know that it wasn't hurt, and now that it should be of little use to you....... Call me Later Cuz- The Rexburg Petersens
